Bihar`s quad team made history by clinching their first gold medal in Sepak Takraw at the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 2025. The team, featuring Harshit Kumar, Parthsarathi, Tanmay Raj, Ankit Kumar, Siddhant Kumar, and Anshu Kumar, triumphed over the favored Manipur team in a thrilling final held at the BSAP 5 Indoor Stadium in Patna.

The match showcased intense competition, with Bihar securing victory in straight games, finishing with scores of 17-15 and 15-11. This win was particularly significant as it followed the Bihar girls` quad team`s earlier defeat to Manipur, making the boys` gold medal a sweet redemption for the state.

Bihar`s overall medal tally now stands at one gold, five silver, and six bronze medals, while Maharashtra leads the medal table with an impressive count of 19 gold, 19 silver, and 16 bronze medals.
