Arsenal targets Jhon Duran as they seek a striker, while Manchester United navigates player sales amid transfer activity.

Arsenal is reportedly considering a surprising move for Aston Villa`s Jhon Duran as they scramble to secure a striker before the January transfer window closes. Despite the interest in Duran, Alexander Isak remains the Gunners` primary target. The urgency for a new forward is palpable as Arsenal looks to bolster their attacking options.

Meanwhile, Manchester United is nearing a deal with Lecce for defender Patrick Dorgu but faces challenges in the transfer market. The club needs to offload players, with Alejandro Garnacho potentially on the move and Antony already loaned to Real Betis. Marcus Rashford`s future is also uncertain, with Juventus emerging as a possible destination. United`s manager, Ruben Amorim, has publicly criticized Rashford`s training efforts, indicating that the England international`s place in the squad is under threat.

Tottenham Hotspur is in a fierce competition with Chelsea to sign Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel. Spurs have been actively scouting for both defenders and forwards this month but have yet to make any signings. They are also eyeing Southampton`s Romeo Lavia and Everton`s Amadou Onana as potential summer acquisitions. Chelsea, on the other hand, has expressed interest in Manchester United`s Alejandro Garnacho, further intensifying the transfer drama.

In transfer news, Aston Villa has completed the €25 million signing of Borussia Dortmund forward Donyell Malen and the €7 million acquisition of Andres Garcia from Levante. Crystal Palace has also made headlines by signing Millwall wonderkid Romain Esse for €14.2 million. Bournemouth has been active as well, securing Matai Akinmboni from DC United for €1.5 million and young Argentine left-back Julio Soler from Lanus for €8 million. They have also loaned out Philip Billing to Napoli and Max Aarons to Valencia.

In women`s football, Chelsea has signed Louna Ribadeira from Paris FC, while Everton has brought in Emma Watson on loan from Manchester United and Kelly Gago from Nantes for an undisclosed fee.
