Lander`s Thrilling Comeback in Peach Belt Championship

Lander`s comeback win over Alabama-Huntsville highlights key players in the Peach Belt Conference, while Tampa prepares for the SSC Championship.

Lander University showcased an impressive performance in the Peach Belt Conference, advancing to the Division Championship Game by defeating Alabama-Huntsville with a score of 16-14. The match was highlighted by a remarkable scoring run, where Lander transformed a 10-9 deficit into a commanding 16-10 lead. Key players Bradley Brown and Carter Wilcox each netted three goals, while Levi Roest and Emory Watson contributed with two goals apiece. Goalie Nicholas Paige secured his sixth win of the season, making 11 crucial saves.

In the Sunshine State Conference, Tampa, the top seed, is gearing up for the SSC Men’s Lacrosse Tournament Championship after a dominant semifinal victory. The team’s strong performance positions them as a formidable contender for the title.

Meanwhile, the National Lacrosse League (NLL) playoffs have kicked off, with the Buffalo Bandits beginning their quest for a third consecutive championship title by hosting the San Diego Seals. In college lacrosse, Georgetown University’s men’s lacrosse team is preparing to host Villanova in their regular season finale, aiming to secure the top seed in the BIG EAST Championship.
