Despite the positive outcome, Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu remains cautious about their title aspirations. With an 11-point deficit separating them from league leaders Remo Stars after 22 matches, Ilechukwu emphasized the challenges ahead. He acknowledged the competitive nature of the league, stating, "The league title looks somehow difficult because my friend (Ogunmodede) is serious about it." He highlighted the current standings, noting that Remo Stars, 3SC, and Enyimba are all in contention, while Rangers are striving to regain their form without succumbing to pressure from fans or expectations.

Looking ahead, Rangers will face Bayelsa United on Sunday, followed by a critical match against title contenders Remo Stars in Enugu. The upcoming fixtures will be pivotal for Rangers as they aim to close the gap in the title race and reclaim their status as champions.
