
In the middle-distance races, Josh Kerr showcased his dominance in the men’s 1500m, finishing in 3:38.24, while Laura Muir claimed the women’s title with a time of 43.87. The high jump saw Tom Gale clear 2.30m for gold, and Morgan Lake took the women’s event with a leap of 1.96m. Katarina Johnson-Thompson excelled in the pentathlon, scoring 4,929 points, ahead of Holly Mills.
Scott Lincoln triumphed in the men’s shot put with a throw of 20.23m, while Sophie McKinna won the women’s event at 18.82m. The championships served as trials for the upcoming European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, from March 6-9, with many winners securing spots on the British team. The event attracted around 12,000 spectators, creating an electric atmosphere at the newly renovated Alexander Stadium.
