Irish Athletes Shine in National Indoor Arena

In the recent track and field events held at the National Indoor Arena in Abbotstown, Dublin, several Irish athletes showcased impressive performances.

On December 18, 2024, the men's 60 metres final saw Lorcan Murphy take the top spot with a time of 6.94 seconds, followed by Kenji Miyauchi with 7.14 seconds, and Gavin Witter with 7.24 seconds.

In the men's 800 metres, Jack O'Donnell secured the first place with a time of 1:53.81, while Adam Bradley and James Kelly followed closely with times of 1:55.43 and 1:56.05, respectively.

The women's 60 metres final was won by Ria Kelly with a time of 7.85 seconds, ahead of Bevan McCaffrey and Sarah Kiernan who finished with times of 7.95 and 8.02 seconds, respectively.

In the women's 1000 metres, Emma Moore led the pack with a time of 2:46.48, followed by Aimee Wallace and Shona O'Brien with times of 2:48.40 and 2:52.85 seconds.
