Mizzou Hosts Louisville in Dual Meet Showdown

The University of Missouri swimming and diving team is gearing up for an exciting home dual meet against the nationally-ranked Louisville on January 3 at the Mizzou Aquatic Center. This event marks the Tigers' first competition of the 2025 calendar year, following their participation in the Georgia Invitational in November, where both the men's and women's teams finished fifth.

At the Georgia Invitational, standout performances included senior Bochenski, who clocked an impressive 45.34 in the men's 400 medley relay, surpassing the 2023 NCAA invited time. He also secured a second-place finish in the men's 100 back with a time of 45.66. Jan Zubik contributed to the team's success by earning bronze in both the men's 100 fly and the men's 200 fly, showcasing his versatility and speed. The men's 200 medley relay team, featuring Logan Ottke, Bochenski, Zubik, and Nebrich, also performed well, finishing third with a time of 1:24.19. Diver Collier Dyer excelled in the diving events, placing second in the men's 3-meter diving and fifth in the platform diving. Freshman Derek Colbert achieved his first career podium finish with a strong performance in the men's platform diving.

The women's team also had notable achievements, with Karolina Bank and Paige Striley finishing fourth and fifth in their respective events. The upcoming meet against Louisville is set to begin at 11 a.m., with live results available through the Meet Mobile app and DiveMeets. Admission is free and open to the public, promising an exciting atmosphere for fans and supporters.

On the other side, the Louisville swimming and diving teams recently competed at the Ohio State Invitational, where the men placed second and the women finished third. The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) is well-represented in the latest CSCAA Division I polls, with Virginia leading the women's rankings and several teams among the top contenders in the men's rankings.

As the Mizzou Tigers prepare to take on Louisville, anticipation builds for a thrilling matchup that showcases some of the best talent in collegiate swimming and diving.
