Darius Alexander and Jihaad Campbell excelled at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, impressing scouts ahead of the NFL Draft.

Defensive linemen and linebackers took the spotlight at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine on February 28 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Toledo`s Darius Alexander made a significant impression, showcasing his impressive size and athleticism. The 6-foot-3, 305-pound defensive tackle clocked a 4.95-second 40-yard dash, ranking fifth among defensive linemen. His explosiveness was evident in the vertical jump, where he reached 32 inches, and in the broad jump, measuring 9 feet, 7 inches.

Alabama`s Jihaad Campbell also turned heads with a remarkable 4.39-second 40-yard dash, the fastest among edge rushers and linebackers. In the linebacker category, UCLA`s Darius Muasau and Kourt Williams II both excelled, with Muasau posting a 4.53-second 40-yard dash and Williams demonstrating strength with 29 bench press repetitions.

Notably, Penn State`s Abdul Carter, a highly regarded prospect, did not participate in drills due to a stress reaction in his right foot but is expected to showcase his skills at Penn State`s pro day on March 28. Other standout performances came from Michigan`s Kenneth Grant and Miami`s Leonard Taylor III, both of whom are projected as potential first-round picks. As the combine progresses, attention will shift to defensive backs and tight ends, culminating in offensive linemen workouts on Sunday. NFL teams will utilize these results to finalize their draft boards ahead of the NFL Draft in Green Bay this April.
