Curtis Malik staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Ramit Tandon in a nail-biting five-game match, finishing 3-2 with scores of 11-8, 8-11, 11-7, 10-12, and 11-6. Tesni Murphy also delivered an impressive performance, edging out Grace Gear 3-2 in a match that lasted nearly an hour, with scores of 13-11, 8-11, 11-7, 10-12, and 11-8.

Youssef Ibrahim narrowly avoided an upset against wildcard Muhammad Ashab Irfan, winning 3-1 with scores of 12-14, 11-3, 11-8, and 12-10. Ka Yi Lee caused the biggest upset of the evening by defeating Malak Khafagy 3-1, turning the tide with a stunning run of seven consecutive points.
