Champ Rugby is set to transform the second tier of English rugby with an exciting new format that promises to enhance competition and player development. The Rugby Football Union has revamped the league, now featuring 14 teams, including Worcester Warriors and Richmond, who have recently joined after overcoming financial difficulties.

The new structure introduces a promotion and relegation system, where the top six teams will enter play-offs at the end of the season. The first and second-placed teams will enjoy the advantage of home semi-finals, while teams ranked three to six will battle for a coveted spot in the final. The play-off winner will face the last-placed team from the Gallagher Premiership for a chance at promotion, contingent on meeting specific standards.
