Excitement builds for the ASEAN+ Age Group Chess Championships as blitz tournaments highlight top players and national champions emerge.

The anticipation is palpable as the 23rd ASEAN+ Age Group Chess Championships 2025 gears up for its opening ceremony on July 2, 2025, at 1:15 PM. Following a crucial technical meeting held on July 1 at 8 PM, players were given the opportunity to make category changes until 7 PM, just an hour before the meeting commenced. Categories such as S50, W50, and G10 promise to showcase emerging talents and seasoned competitors alike.

In a thrilling display of skill, the chess community witnessed two electrifying blitz tournaments on Chess.com on July 1. The Early-Titled-Tuesday-Blitz saw GM Daniel Naroditsky, boasting an impressive rating of 3025, triumph over GM Sam_ChessMood (2913) with a decisive score of 1-0. Meanwhile, the Late-Titled-Tuesday-Blitz crowned GM Parhamov as the champion among 448 fierce competitors, securing the coveted trophy.

Adding to the excitement, Hampton School`s chess team has been crowned the 2025 National Chess Champions in England, emerging victorious from a field of 26 teams in the English Chess Federation`s competition. As the chess world buzzes with these developments, the stage is set for an unforgettable championship.
