Houston Cougars Rise to No. 10 in AP Rankings

Houston Cougars have made a significant leap in the college basketball rankings, now sitting at No. 10 in the Associated Press (AP) poll and No. 8 in the USA Today coaches' poll. This surge is largely due to their impressive eight-game winning streak, highlighted by a commanding 30-point victory over Kansas State. With a current record of 12-3 and an undefeated 4-0 in the Big 12 Conference, the Cougars are establishing themselves as a formidable force in college basketball.

The Big 12 Conference is well-represented in the rankings, with Houston joining Iowa State at No. 2 and Kansas at No. 9 in the AP poll. Baylor also makes an appearance at No. 25. In the USA Today poll, five Big 12 teams are ranked, showcasing the conference's strength this season. Houston's J'Wan Roberts has reached notable milestones during this winning streak, contributing to the team's success.

Looking ahead, the Cougars will return home to face West Virginia on Wednesday night before heading to UCF for another crucial matchup on Saturday.
