Japan and Australia Share Points in World Cup Qualifier

A own goal by Burgess allowed Japan to level the score against Australia, resulting in a 1-1 draw in Saitama. Australia initially led with Taniguchi's own goal at the 58th minute. Japan remains first in Group C with 10 points, followed by Australia with 5, Saudi Arabia with 4, Bahrain with 4 (both with a game in hand), and Indonesia and China, each with 3 points. Japan will face Indonesia and China in November.
