Madagascar Top World Cup Qualifying Group

Madagascar's national team, the Barea, continue to believe in their World Cup 2026 dream. Defeating the Comoros 2-1, they have taken top spot in Group I of the African qualifying campaign. Madagascar relied on veteran midfielder Rayan Raveloson, who scored a brace (1st and 66th minutes) before Comoros captain El Fardou Ben pulled one back deep into stoppage time (90'+4). The match was played in Johannesburg, South Africa, as Madagascar's Mahamasina Stadium did not meet FIFA standards.
