Alcaraz reaches third round with convincing win

Carlos Alcaraz, ranked second in the world, defeated Nicolas Jarry 7-5, 6-1 in the second round on Tuesday to start the Paris Masters. With 13 winners and just six unforced errors, Alcaraz, who lost at the same stage the previous year, easily defeated the Chilean.
Alcaraz said at a news conference, "I am in a much better state mentally, but it's always hard to compare your tennis year to year."
