Zverev beats Giron to advance to quarterfinals

In his personal high 61st victory of the year, Alexander Zverev defeated Marcos Giron 6-2, 7-5 on Wednesday to advance to the quarterfinals of the Erste Bank Open.
The top seed in the indoor hard-court tournament in the Austrian capital, third-ranked Zverev, will next take on Lorenzo Musetti, who advanced after Gael Monfils pulled out of his second-round match due to illness.
