Diego Forlan, a former Uruguayan football player who played for Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, and other teams, will play in doubles at the professional Uruguay Open tennis tournament in November, organizers announced Tuesday. The 45-year-old former striker, who was a semifinalist in the 2010 World Cup, has transitioned to tennis since retiring in 2018 and is currently playing on the international senior tour. After receiving a wild card, Forlan will partner with Argentina's current world number 101 Federico Coria in the main draw of the November 11–17 clay court Challenger Tour event in Montevideo. #montevideo#forlan
