Sinner marches past Machac to reach final

As the first Italian to go to the tournament's championship match, world number one Jannik Sinner upset Czech 30th seed Tomas Machac 6-4, 7-5 in the semifinal on Saturday, advancing him one step closer to winning his first Shanghai Masters title.
The top-seeded Italian ended a tense first set in forty-four minutes after mistakes flew from Machac's racket. Machac had a strong start to the match, winning the first two games before Sinner scored.
