Coco Gauff Advances to Beijing Semi-Finals

American Coco Gauff, currently ranked No. 6 in the world, qualified for the semi-finals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing by defeating Ukraine's Yulia Starodubtseva, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2. Gauff will face Spain's Paula Badosa, a former No. 2 now ranked 19th, who overcame China's Zhang Shuai, 6-1, 7-6 (7/3). This marks Gauff's third semi-final appearance of the season.
