Jannik Sinner Advances to Beijing Quarterfinals

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner secured his place in the quarterfinals of the Beijing tournament on Saturday, just hours after the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) announced it was appealing a previous decision regarding his case. WADA is seeking a suspension of one to two years for the Italian player, who was previously cleared by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) after two positive tests for clostebol, a banned substance, in March. On Sunday, the recent US Open champion defeated Russian player Roman Safiullin with a score of 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.
