Wimbledon granted planning permission

The Greater London Authority approved planning clearance for the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) on Friday, enabling the club to expand significantly in preparation for the Wimbledon Championships.After much debate, plans to build 38 more courts at the nearby park and golf course were approved for the AELTC during a public hearing at City Hall.
