Wimbledon Granted Approval for Expansion Project

Wimbledon has received approval to proceed with its controversial expansion project, which will nearly triple the tournament's site area in southwest London. The All England Club's proposal to build 39 new courts, including one with an 8,000-seat capacity at the former Wimbledon Park Golf Club, was approved by London's Deputy Mayor for Planning, Jules Pipe.
