Navarro beats Badosa to reach semifinals

Emma Navarro continued her breakthrough season as the American reached her first Grand Slam semi-final with a 6-2 7-5 victory over Spain's Paula Badosa on Tuesday at the US Open. In a battle of the top seeds from New York, Navarro, who had beaten defending champion Coco Gauff in the previous round, stunned Badosa by winning the last six games of the second set to claim victory in 72 minutes.
