American Frances Tiafoe reaches first Masters 1000 final in Cincinnati

Frances Tiafoe (World No. 27) defeated Holger Rune (World No. 16) 4-6, 6-1, 7-6(7-4) in the Cincinnati Masters 1000 semifinals. Jannik Sinner, who is the first Italian to reach the Cincinnati final, defeated Alexander Zverev (World No. 4) 7-6(11-9), 5-7, 7-6 earlier in the day. Sinner, who turned 23 on Friday, will play his 5th career Masters 1000 final, his 2nd this year after winning in Miami in March.
