Andreescu and Osaka receive main draw wildcard

The United States Tennis Association announced on Wednesday that past winners Stan Wawrinka, Bianca Andreescu, and Naomi Osaka have been awarded wildcards into the U.S. Open's singles main tournament.



Japan's Osaka, who has four Grand Slam victories to her name, including the U.S. Opens in 2018 and 2020, resumed competing in January following the birth of her daughter. This season, she has progressed to the third round or higher at four WTA 1000 events.
