Korda Upsets World No.4 Zverev in Montreal

World No.4 Alexander Zverev suffered a surprise defeat against American Sebastian Korda in the Montreal quarterfinals. Korda, ranked 17th, overcame Zverev in three sets, taking advantage of the German's 11 double faults. With little time to recover, Korda will face Alexei Popyrin in the semifinals, after the Australian defeated 6th seed Hubert Hurkacz. The rain-delayed tournament has forced players to compete in back-to-back matches, testing their endurance.
