Gauff aims to end poor record against Swiatek

The French Open semifinal match between Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek is scheduled for this Thursday. Gauff believes she needs to "find a better way" to play the opponent.

Swiatek, the top-seeded player in Poland, has prevailed in ten of their eleven prior encounters, including the last three and two games at Roland Garros—the 2022 championship match and a quarterfinal held a year later.

The French Open was won by Swiatek, 23, in 2020, 2022, and 2023. She defeated Marketa Vondrouvosa 6-0, 6-2, to advance to the tournament's last four. She has won 19 straight matches in the competition.
