David conquered Goliath in Miami..

Two favorites went down on Monday in the WTA tournament in Miami. World number one Iga Swiatek was eliminated by Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova (6-4, 6-2), and world number 3 Coco Gauff was surprised by Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia. Ranked 16th in the ATP rankings, Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova created the surprise of the day, beating Iga Swiatek, victorious at Indian Wells and the WTA 1000 in Miami in 2022, in two short sets.
