Harriet Dart misses out on WTA final

At the Transylvania Open, Harriet Dart lost in straight sets to former world number one Karolina Pliskova, missing out on her first WTA Tour final.

With a 6-3 6-3 victory, the Czech, ranked third in the world, advanced to her first WTA final in three and a half years.


After advancing through qualification, Dart defeated Nuria Parrizas-Diaz of Spain to earn a spot in her maiden WTA Tour semifinal.
