Alfie Hewett fails to retain title

In the Australian Open wheelchair singles final, 17-year-old Tokito Oda defeated Britain's Alfie Hewett in straight sets, preventing him from retaining his title.

Hewett, an eight-time Grand Slam singles champion, defeated Oda in the Melbourne final of the previous year to claim his maiden title.


On Sunday, though, the Japanese second seed upset him 6-2 6-4.
