Djokovic is through to the 3rd round of the AO

Novak Djokovic is through to the third round of the Australian Open after beating home favourite Alexei Popyrin, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(4), 6-3. The world No.1, chasing an outright record 25th grand slam singles title, battled both his opponent and the Rod Laver Arena crowd to set-up a meeting with Argentine 30th seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry next. But he has now spent over 7 hours on court in two matches.
