Daniil Medvedev through in Melbourne

After overcoming a set down, Terence Atmane, the opponent of Russian third seed Daniil Medvedev, broke down in tears due to cramps during the opening round of the Australian Open.

Qualifier Atmane took the first set, but Medvedev—the runner-up in 2021 and 2022—turned things around in the second set.
