Losing comeback for Marin Cilic

Former US Open winner Marin Cilic, who is attempting a comeback at age 35 after almost a year of absence due to injury, lost his first match on Tuesday in Hong Kong against Jan-Lennard Struff 3-6, 7-6 (7/4), 7-6 (9/7), after having collected 9 match points. The Croatian, former world number three, winner of the 2014 US Open, seriously injured his knee at the start of last season during the tournament in Pune, India. For his return, he thought he would win from the start (like Nadal a few hours earlier) when he led a set to nothing and 5 games at two in the second set.
