Rublev vs Draper: Qatar Open 2025 Final Showdown

Rublev and Draper face off in the Qatar Open 2025 final, with both players in exceptional form.

Andrey Rublev and Jack Draper are set to clash in the final of the Qatar Open 2025 on February 22, 2025, at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha. This ATP 500 tournament promises an exciting showdown on hard courts, with both players showcasing impressive form throughout the event.

Rublev, the fifth seed, has made his way to the final with a series of strong performances, defeating Alexander Bublik and Nuno Borges in straight sets. He then faced a tougher challenge against Alex de Minaur, winning in three sets, before edging past Felix Auger-Aliassime in another closely contested three-set match. Meanwhile, eighth seed Draper has been on a remarkable nine-match winning streak at the ATP 500 level, advancing to the final after straight-set victories over Alexei Popyrin and Christopher O`Connell, a comeback win against Matteo Berrettini, and a three-set triumph over Jiri Lehecka.

Historically, Rublev leads their head-to-head encounters 3-0, but Draper’s recent form suggests he could pose a significant challenge. A victory for Draper would not only secure the title but also elevate him to a career-high ranking of No. 11.

In other tennis news, Brazilian duo Rafael Matos and Marcelo Melo have reached their second consecutive doubles final at the Rio Open, while an all-British doubles final is set at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open.
