The Aquatics GB Diving Winter Cup commenced on January 31, 2025, at Ponds Forge in Sheffield, heralding the start of the 2025 British diving season. This prestigious event features a lineup of elite divers, including Olympic medallists and rising stars, following a remarkable year for British diving in 2024.

The competition kicked off with the Women’s 1m Springboard and Men’s 3m Springboard events. Notable participants in the women’s event include Paris Olympians Grace Reid and Yasmin Harper, alongside Desharne Bent-Ashmeil and Amy Rollinson, both of whom recently stood on the podium at the European Championships in Belgrade. The men’s 3m contest showcases Olympian Jordan Houlden, European medallist Matthew Dixon, and promising talents Robbie Wood and Noah Penman. Preliminary rounds began at 10 am, with finals set for 3 pm, all streamed live on the Aquatics GB YouTube channel.

As the competition progresses, the Women’s 10m Platform will take center stage on Saturday, featuring Olympic and World Championship medallist Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix and double World Juniors medallist Maisie Bond. The Men’s 1m Springboard will also see fierce competition from Jack Laugher and Anthony Harding. Sunday’s events will include the Women’s 3m Springboard and the Men’s 10m Platform, with performances contributing to selection for the GB teams for upcoming World Aquatics Diving World Cup and European Championships later this year.
