GB newcomer Newman-Baronius equals world record

In her first big competition, Olivia Newman-Baronius tied the S14 100m butterfly world record, thereby guaranteeing her spot in the Paralympics this summer.

Three weeks prior to competing in a World Series event in Italy, the 17-year-old admitted that she had not given the Games much thought.

However, she won the British title on Saturday by clocking the second-fastest time ever in her class, one minute and 33 seconds.
