Youssef Soliman of Egypt showcased remarkable resilience in a gripping quarter-final match against Switzerland`s Dimitri Steinmann at the Pittsburgh Open. The encounter, lasting 74 minutes, was a nail-biter that went to five sets. Soliman initially took control, winning the first game 11-4, but Steinmann fought back to claim the second game 11-3. The back-and-forth continued as Soliman edged the third game 11-5, only for Steinmann to level the match with an 11-6 win in the fourth. In a tense final game, Soliman saved two match balls before clinching victory 13-11.
In another quarter-final, Youssef Ibrahim, also from Egypt, triumphed over France`s Victor Crouin in four games. The match featured a thrilling first game that went to a tie-break, with Ibrahim winning 15-13.
