Kent Place Upper School`s squash team triumphs with a third-place finish at the Squash Nationals, showcasing remarkable growth and resilience.

Kent Place Upper School`s squash team showcased their tenacity and skill at the Squash Nationals, securing a commendable third place at the prestigious Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia. With a 3-1 record, the team kicked off their campaign with a solid 5-2 victory over Buckingham Browne & Nichols, setting the tone for a promising tournament.

In a nail-biting quarterfinal, Kent Place edged out Shady Side Academy with a narrow 4-3 win, demonstrating their resilience under pressure. However, the semifinal proved to be a challenging encounter, as they fell just short against Concord Academy, losing 3-4. Yet, the team rallied back in the battle for third place, decisively defeating Greenwich Country Day School to clinch the bronze medal.

Head Coach Geoff Mitchell lauded the athletes for their dedication and sportsmanship, noting the remarkable leap from 10th place in 2024 to third in 2025. The strong turnout of supporters at the event highlighted the growing prominence of Kent Place squash on the national stage, marking a significant achievement for the program.
