Anahat Singh made headlines by advancing to the second round of the PSA World Championships, defeating USA`s world No. 28 Marina Stefanoni in a thrilling 3-2 match. After trailing 1-2, Singh showcased her resilience and skill, ultimately winning with scores of 10-12, 11-9, 6-11, 11-6, and 11-6. This victory marks a significant milestone for Singh, as it is her debut in the singles World Squash Championships.

In addition to Singh`s impressive performance, fellow Indian players Abhay Singh and Veer Chotrani also progressed to the next round. Abhay secured a 3-1 victory over Switzerland`s Nicolas Mueller, while Chotrani triumphed against England`s world No. 28 Declan James with a similar scoreline.

On the men`s side, Paul Coll reached the semi-finals after a commanding 3-0 win against former world champion Mohamed ElShorbagy.
