ElSherbini and El Hammamy excelled at the Texas Open 2025, advancing to the quarter-finals alongside other top players.

Nour ElSherbini and Hania El Hammamy showcased their resilience at the Cotidie Texas Open 2025, both advancing to the quarter-finals after hard-fought matches. ElSherbini faced a formidable opponent in Sana Ibrahim, who started strong with an aggressive approach. However, ElSherbini`s experience shone through as she rallied to secure victory in four games. Similarly, El Hammamy had to dig deep against Lucy Turmel, who challenged her throughout the match, but ultimately, El Hammamy emerged victorious in four games as well.

These wins follow the earlier success of World No.1 Nouran Gohar, who also secured her place in the quarter-finals. In the men`s draw, Aly Abou Eleinen and Mostafa Asal both delivered commanding performances, winning their matches 3-0 against Youssef Soliman and Mohamed Abouelghar, respectively. Joel Makin also joined the winning ranks with a decisive 3-0 victory over Raphael Kandra.

The quarter-finals are set to take place on Friday, February 21st, with all eight matches available for live streaming on SQUASHTV. In other news, Joel Makin recently clinched the 2025 Pittsburgh Open title after a thrilling 75-minute match against Youssef Ibrahim.
