Princeton`s softball team made history on April 2, 2025, by clinching a thrilling comeback victory in their first-ever home night game, defeating Lehigh 7-6. After falling behind 4-0, Princeton rallied impressively in the fifth and sixth innings. Jessica Phelps delivered a pivotal two-run single, while Braeden Hale and Sonia Zhang both launched home runs, propelling the Tigers to victory. Cassidy Shaw shone in relief, allowing just one hit and one walk over two innings to secure the win.

In another exciting matchup, Coe College`s softball team swept a doubleheader against Grinnell, winning decisively with scores of 11-2 and 12-4. The Kohawks showcased their offensive prowess, combining for 26 hits across both games. Haydn Shoots led the charge in the first game, while Maggie Strupp delivered a bases-clearing double in the second.

The University of Pennsylvania faced Villanova in a nail-biting contest that ended in a 12-12 tie after eight innings. Alexis Youngren`s grand slam helped Penn build a 12-7 lead, but Villanova mounted a comeback, scoring five runs in the seventh to force extra innings. The game was ultimately called due to darkness.
