Duke`s Cassidy Curd shines as ACC softball teams excel in rankings and individual performances this season.

The 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference softball season is heating up with thrilling matchups and standout performances. Nine ACC players have made the USA Softball Top 53 Watch List for the prestigious Collegiate Player of the Year award. Leading the charge, Florida State is ranked No. 8, followed closely by No. 9 Duke, while Virginia Tech, Stanford, and Virginia also make the Top 25.

In individual accolades, California`s Acacia Anders has been named ACC Player of the Week, and Duke`s Cassidy Curd has earned the title of ACC Pitcher of the Week. The ACC is dominating various statistical categories, with Virginia Tech leading in shutouts (1, Stanford excelling in slugging percentage (.769), and Virginia boasting the most triples (11). Notably, Madison Knight from Syracuse and Carly Maxton from NC State are tied for the NCAA lead with 0.00 ERAs.

In recent action, Duke is gearing up for a three-game series against No. 21 South Carolina, while Virginia Tech secured a 5-1 victory over No. 24 Liberty. Virginia triumphed over Longwood with a commanding 10-0 win, and Georgia Tech defeated Kennesaw State 7-2.
