Crawford, the reigning world champion in the men’s super-G, is set to defend his title while aiming for a downhill victory. His consistency this season has been impressive, and he is a key figure to watch as the championships approach. Alexander has also demonstrated remarkable form, achieving top-10 finishes in seven of his ten World Cup starts this season, including notable third-place finishes in both Bormio and Kitzbühel.
On the women’s side, Valérie Grenier is making a strong comeback after a serious injury, with three top-10 finishes in giant slalom since her return to the World Cup circuit in late November. Laurence St-Germain, the reigning world champion in women’s slalom, is in pursuit of her first World Cup podium, having placed in the top 11 in four of five slalom races this season. Britt Richardson is also making strides, achieving a career-best seventh-place finish in the giant slalom at the World Cup in Kronplatz, Italy, in January.
As domestic competitions heat up, the U12 Terrain GS races for both men and women will take place at the Beaver Valley Ski Club on February 1, 2025, showcasing the next generation of Canadian ski talent.
