Canada`s elite skiers prepare for the Trondheim World Championships, showcasing talent and determination on the global stage.

The Canadian National Team is gearing up for the highly anticipated Trondheim World Championships 2025, set to kick off with a vibrant opening ceremony on February 26, 2025. This prestigious event will showcase the best of cross-country skiing, featuring an impressive lineup of Canadian athletes ready to make their mark on the international stage.

Among the standout competitors for the women’s team are Katherine Stewart-Jones, Sonjaa Schmidt, and Liliane Gagnon, alongside Katie Weaver, Alison Mackie, and Olivia Bouffard-Nesbitt. The men’s squad boasts formidable talent, including Antoine Cyr, Tom Stephen, and Xavier McKeever, with Max Hollmann, Olivier Léveillé, Graham Ritchie, Pierre Grall-Johnson, and Sasha Masson rounding out the roster.

Over the course of ten thrilling days, the championships will host 16 competitions, culminating in the climactic women’s 50km mass start freestyle race on March 9, 2025. While the excitement builds for this event, Canadian ski enthusiasts can also reflect on the challenging terrain of resorts like Kicking Horse and Whistler Blackcomb, known for their perilous inbound runs. As summer activities take center stage, the anticipation for winter competitions remains palpable.
