Charlotte Bankes wins gold in Spain

Charlotte Bankes of the United Kingdom won gold in Sierra Nevada on Saturday, securing her second consecutive Snowboard Cross World Cup victory.

Bankes, 28, followed up February's first victory of the season in Georgia with another in the first of a weekend double-header at the Spanish resort.

She finished third on Sunday, while World Cup points leader Chloe Trespeuch did not finish.
