Malaysia showcased its prowess at the 2025 Asian Cup Sepak Takraw Championship, finishing as the runner-up in the men`s doubles event. The dynamic duo of Muhammad Noraizat Nordin and Muhammad Redwan Hakim Muhammad started strong, clinching the first set 15-7 against Thailand. However, they faltered in the subsequent sets, ultimately losing the match 1-2.

In a remarkable turn of events, Malaysia celebrated a historic victory in the quadrant event, defeating Japan 2-0 in the final held at Titiwangsa Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. The winning team, comprising Muhammad Afifuddin Mohd Razali, Amirul Zazwan Amir, Norfaizzul Abd Razak, and Muhammad Shahalril Aiman Halim, showcased exceptional skill, winning the sets 15-8 and 15-11.
