With 13 victories from his 26 games as England's head coach, Steve Borthwick's record at exactly 50% following the stunning 42-37 loss to Australia.
In comparison to his two predecessors, Stuart Lancaster (61%) and Eddie Jones (73%), it is a mediocre record.
However, context must be added. After depending on a core group of seasoned players at the Rugby World Cup last year, Borthwick is rebuilding the squad.
