Borthwick names 17 England players given RFU deals

A set of 17 players have been selected by England head coach Steve Borthwick to sign the first contracts for English rugby's Enhanced Elite Player Squad.
There are no tighthead props in the group, but fly-halves George Ford, Marcus Smith, and Fin Smith have been granted one of the deals.
Sam Underhill of Bath, who started all eight of England's Test matches in 2024, is a surprising omission.
