World Rugby Guarantees Representation for All Regions at 2027 World Cup

According to the qualification criteria unveiled by World Rugby, each territorial subdivision of the global rugby landscape will be assured of at least one direct qualifying spot for the 2027 World Cup in Australia, the first edition with 24 participating nations (up from 20 previously). The six regional associations that make up the governing body will each receive at least one of the 12 remaining qualification places, with four going to the top teams in the 2025 European Championship and three to the leading sides in the 2025 Pacific Nations Cup.
