Saints Storm into Semi-Finals with Sleightholme`s Brilliance

Northampton Saints and Sale Sharks advance to the semi-finals after impressive quarter-final victories in the Premiership Rugby Cup.

Northampton Saints showcased their dominance in the Premiership Rugby Cup quarter-finals, defeating Ealing Trailfinders 50-19 at cinch Stadium at Franklin`s Gardens. The Saints scored an impressive eight tries, with standout performances from Ollie Sleightholme, who crossed the line twice, alongside contributions from James Ramm, Robbie Smith, Tom Seabrook, Geordie Irvine, Tom Litchfield, and Jake Garside. George Furbank was instrumental, converting five of the tries.

Ealing`s efforts came from Steven Shingler, Reuben Bird-Tulloch, and Carlo Tizzano, with Shingler converting two tries. This victory propels Northampton into the semi-finals of the competition, where they will aim to continue their strong form.

In another quarter-final clash, Sale Sharks triumphed over Newcastle Falcons with a score of 45-24 at the AJ Bell Stadium. Sale`s scoring was led by Arron Reed, who notched two tries, supported by Gus Warr, Tom Roebuck, Sam Dugdale, and Joe Carpenter. Tom Curtis added six conversions and a penalty to solidify the win. Newcastle`s tries were scored by Adam Radwan, Mateo Carreras, and Guy Pepper, with Brett Connon converting all three.

As the Premiership Rugby standings tighten, Saracens lead with 62 points, followed closely by Sale Sharks and Northampton Saints, setting the stage for an exciting finish to the season.
